Stress and trauma have serious consequences for our health, our wellbeing, and our ability to connect with others and perform in our jobs and other roles we take on. They also have a negative impact on our mental health. Everybody has different thresholds of stress that they can deal with. Most of us have experienced some kind of overwhelm in our lives, and most of us get triggered on a daily basis. We tend to blame others, or our circumstances, for these triggers – but really, it’s our own inability to deal with our emotions that is the issue. Once we learn how to do this, we can manage our triggers. We can learn to be empathic, while having clear boundaries and a relaxed nervous system, have loving relationships and a joyful life. This workshop is a journey into the nature of stress, its root cause, and how to heal it. You will be presented with: • Physical tools: breathing, basic movement/yoga and embodied awareness, as well as vagus nerve exercises; • Emotional tools: understanding the nature of emotions, trauma, stress, and learning how to manage them; • Mental tools: changing of perspective in different ways, observing thoughts and beliefs, and many other beautiful and effective coaching tools that can be easily transferred to any situation in your life and can help you manage any upset. Caroline Panesar is a Bodyworker, Biodynamic CranioSacral Therapist and Life Coach who specialises in Embodied Stress and Trauma management. Through her own experiences and training, she has found a path through stress and trauma that she shares with counsellors, bodyworkers and clients.
